ITS Nigeria: www.itsnigeria.org:
ITS Nigeria (Intelligent Transportation Society of Nigeria) was launched on October 23rd 2012, at the World ITS Congress, which was held in Vienna, Austria. ITS Nigeria is established for the purpose of promoting ITS in particular in Nigeria and Africa at large through knowledge and technology transfer, by facilitating and creating a conducive environment to share best practices and experiences and provide technical, managerial and policy advisory to public and private transportation stakeholders operating in Nigeria in particular, or Africa in general. ITS Nigeria is currently working hard with the other two sister African ITS Societies i.e. ITS South Africa and ITS Ethiopia to advance the ITS Africa Vision and make it a reality in the continent, hopefully in the near future.

The ITS World Congress is a joint partnership between the three large and continental ITS Societies i.e. ITS America, ITS Europe and ITS-Asia pacific. Its Annual conference which rotates between the three continents is perhaps the largest ITS conference in the world. It attracts thousands of ITS stakeholder members coming from hundreds of public transportation agencies, private companies, academic institutions and many others from across the globe, including from Latin America and Africa. It’s exhibitions are a showcase for the latest state-of-the-art ITS technologies and systems. The conference attracts transportation executives, ITS professionals and academicians worldwide.

ITS International is the source of perhaps the best ITS journal in the world. What is good also, it is distributed free of charge to ITS professionals and practitioners worldwide. It has up-to-date information on ITS best practices, lessons learned, latest technologies as well as products and services.

International Association of Public Transport: www.uitp.org
UITP is the international network for public transportation authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, scientific institutes and service providers. It is a forum for worldwide cooperation, business development and sharing of experiences and know-how for public transport stakeholders. It has over 3,000 members from 92 countries, and is a global advocate of public transport use, sustainability and innovations.
